Work Experience
Mr. Labayen is a skilled and resourceful law student with a focus on commercial transactions and corporate law.
Mr. Labayen received his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from St. John’s University where he was awarded the Dean’s List Scholarship as well as a Certificate of Congressional Recognition by U.S. Congressman Charles B Rangel. During this time, Mr. Labayen was also a member of Alpha Phi Delta Fraternity and the Sigma Alpha Pi honor society.
Mr. Labayen is currently in his second year at New York Law School expecting to receive his Juris Doctorate in 2026. During his law school career, Mr. Labayen has interned for the renewable energy construction company CS Energy, LLC where he assisted in the research, drafting, and review of EPC agreements and other legal developments in the construction industry.
Prior to entering law school, Mr. Labayen served as a candidate for the New York City Council District 29, and he served as a TEFL certified English Teacher in Tudela, Spain. Also Mr. Labayen obtained extensive paralegal experience while working as a case management paralegal at Seeger Weiss, LLP.
Since joining the Bertone Piccini, Mr. Labayen has been exposed to a variety of practice areas as he continues his studies.
