Work Experience
Mr. Pierce is an experienced civil litigator with a practice emphasis in the areas of construction, complex commercial, and consumer fraud litigation. In his construction practice, he has represented a broad range of clients, including owners, general contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers in both the commercial and residential arenas. He has successfully prosecuted and defended construction lien claims, breach of contract matters, and consumer fraud actions under the Home-Improvement Practice Regulations, the Contractors’ Registration Act, and the New Home Warranty and Builders’ Registration Act.
In addition to construction law, Mr. Pierce’s civil litigation practice involves the representation corporate clients in general commercial litigation matters. He further represents both business owners and consumers in actions involving various consumer protection statutes, such as the Consumer Fraud Act and the Truth-In-Consumer Contract, Warranty and Notice Act.
Prior to his legal career, Mr. Pierce served in the United States Army as an infantry officer in the 1st Battalion, 505th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division.
