Work Experience
EVA K. CAREY’S practice focuses on a wide range of complex commercial disputes, including breach of contract actions, loan workout and foreclosure matters, partnership and shareholder disputes, director and officer litigation, and fraud litigation. Ms. Carey has experience representing lenders, financial institutions, and servicers in contested foreclosure matters and bankruptcy adversary proceedings. In the past, she has assisted with all aspects of management-side employment litigation under various statutes including Title VII, Americans with Disabilities Act, Age Discrimination in Employment, New York State Human Rights Law and New York City Human Rights Act. Ms. Carey has also served as the defense of other employment-related claims, including breach of contract, intentional and negligent infliction of emotional distress, defamation and breach of non-compete and non-solicitation agreements. Ms. Carey is a graduate of University of Delaware where she received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English. Ms. Carey received her Juris Doctorate from New York Law School where she was a merit scholar. Ms. Carey is admitted to the bars of the State of New Jersey, State of New York, and the United States District Court, District of New Jersey.
