Robert G. Platvoet represents a diverse range of clients in sophisticated business and real estate transactions. His practice focuses on mergers and acquisitions, corporate structuring, equity incentive arrangements, and commercial leasing across industrial, office, and retail sectors. In his real estate practice, Mr. Platvoet represents institutional landlords and tenants in complex lease negotiations and portfolio transactions locally and nationwide. Mr. Platvoet regularly advises owners, operators, and investors on entity formation, joint ventures, capital structuring, and corporate reorganizations.

Mr. Platvoet joined Bertone Piccini as a summer associate in 2021 and was promoted to of counsel in 2026. He has become a key member of the firm’s corporate and real estate practice groups. He brings a thoughtful, solutions-driven approach to every engagement, emphasizing practical outcomes that align with his clients’ strategic and operational objectives.

Mr. Platvoet received his Bachelor of Arts, summa cum laude, in Political Science and History from Rutgers University–Newark, where he graduated first in his class among all students in the School of Arts and Sciences and received highest departmental honors for outstanding scholarship. He earned his Juris Doctor from Rutgers Law School, where he was a merit scholar and member of the Dean’s List.
